How to Convert Bluegreen Points to Hilton Honors (and When It's Worth It)

Quick Answer

HGV Max members can convert Bluegreen points to Hilton Honors at 1 point = 11.2 Honors points, every other year, by calling Club Services at 866-767-2268. Only Future Points (next year's allotment) qualify, and a $194 transaction fee applies to every tier except Diamond Premier. 20,000 points becomes 224,000 Honors points, worth about $784–$896 in hotel nights (3–3.5¢ per Bluegreen point after the fee), or $448 toward maintenance fees (about 2.2¢ per point before the fee). That's far below the 12–17¢ a point costs most Trust Fund E owners to carry, so conversion is a last resort.

"Convert your points to Hilton Honors" is one of the most-repeated lines at owner updates. It's a real benefit for HGV Max members. It's also one of the weakest ways to use a Bluegreen point, and the rules make it harder to use than the pitch suggests. Here's how it actually works, and the math to run before you call.

The rules, straight from Bluegreen's FAQ

Bluegreen Points Conversion FAQ Bluegreen's Points Conversion FAQ, captured October 2026.

  • Who: HGV Max members.
  • Ratio: 1 Bluegreen Vacation Club point = 11.2 Hilton Honors points. Bluegreen notes that "conversion ratios are subject to change."
  • How often: every other year, with "at least one full year between conversions." Skip a year and you can convert the following year, as long as a year has passed since your last conversion.
  • Which points: Future Points only, meaning your next Anniversary Year's points. You can convert them any time before the end of your current use period. Not this year's leftovers, and not saved points.
  • How: call Club Services at 866-767-2268. "Online or self-service conversion is not available at this time."
  • When they land: Honors points are deposited "during the first 1–2 weeks of the month following the end of your Anniversary Year."
  • Fee: a transaction fee applies to every membership tier except Diamond Premier. The fee is $194 per conversion.
  • Whose account: your Bluegreen account must match your Hilton Honors account. You can't convert into a family member's account. Once the points are in your account, Hilton's own rules let you share them with eligible accounts.

Put the timing rules together and one thing stands out. You have to decide to convert next year's points before this year ends, and the Honors points don't show up until after next year's points would have started. Conversion is a plan you make a year ahead, not a rescue for points about to expire.

Want to put points toward a cruise or car rental instead? HGV Hub's Enhanced Redemption values them at 14¢ each, up to 20% of the price. See How to Use HGV Hub.

The math on a 20,000-point conversion

20,000 Bluegreen points × 11.2 = 224,000 Hilton Honors points. What are they worth?

Spent on Hilton hotel nights. Independent valuations put Honors points at about 0.35–0.4¢ each in 2026 (Frequent Miler: 0.35¢; NerdWallet: 0.4¢).

| | At 0.35¢ | At 0.4¢ | |---|---|---| | Value of 224,000 Honors | $784 | $896 | | Minus the $194 fee | $590 | $702 | | Value per Bluegreen point (before fee) | 3.9¢ | 4.5¢ | | Value per Bluegreen point (after fee) | 3.0¢ | 3.5¢ |

Applied to your maintenance fees. Bluegreen's Hilton Honors redemption form pays 500 Honors = $1 toward your annual maintenance fees.

  • 224,000 ÷ 500 = $448 off your bill, about 2.2¢ per Bluegreen point.
  • After the $194 fee: $254, about 1.3¢ per point.

What those 20,000 points cost you. At an owner-reported 12–17¢ per point in Trust Fund E, carrying 20,000 points costs about $2,400–$3,400 a year. Converting them gets you roughly $250–$900 of value. (What Is a Bluegreen Point Worth? shows how to work out your own carrying cost.)

So the trade is: spend $2,400 or more in fees to get a few hundred dollars of Hilton value. That's why I tell owners conversion is a last resort, not a strategy.

When converting actually makes sense

  • You already know you won't use next year's points, and you can't save them or book a short stay instead.
  • You're Diamond Premier, so there's no conversion fee eating into a small conversion.
  • You need Honors points for a specific award stay and you've priced it. Look up the exact Hilton night in points and cash, divide cash by points, and make sure it's worth more than 0.4¢ per Honors point before you convert.
  • You're topping off an Honors balance you're already building through stays and a Hilton card, not trying to fund trips from conversion alone.

Better first moves

Before you call to convert, check these:

  1. Book a short stay. Even a 2- or 3-night stay usually returns far more per point than 3–4.5¢.
  2. Save your points. Bluegreen lets you save current-year points into the following year. A point you carry forward keeps its full value.
  3. Use HGV Hub's Enhanced Redemption. At 14¢ a point (up to 20% of the price), it's worth about three times what conversion is. See How to Use HGV Hub.
  4. Earn Honors the cheap way. Stays, status and a Hilton card build Honors points without spending any Bluegreen points. See Building Hilton Honors Points and Offsetting Fees.

How to convert, step by step

  1. Decide by the end of your current use period how many of next year's points to convert. You only get one shot every other year.
  2. Make sure your Hilton Honors account is in your own name, matching your Bluegreen account.
  3. Call Club Services at 866-767-2268. Ask for the current ratio, the fee for your tier, and the exact date the Honors points will post.
  4. Get it in writing. Ask for an email confirmation of the points, the fee and the deposit timing.
  5. Watch your Honors account in the first two weeks of the month after your Anniversary Year ends.
