Owners keep asking me the same thing: "Can I use my points for a cruise?" With HGV Hub, the answer is yes, partly. The site is easy to browse, but it hides two big rules: points only cover part of the price, and booking with points happens by phone. This guide walks through the real screens, step by step, with the numbers the Hub showed.
About these screenshots: they come from a logged-in member account in October 2026. Names, browser tabs, addresses and account details have been removed, and logos are blurred. Prices and availability change daily, so your screens will show different numbers.

What HGV Hub is, and who gets it
HGV Hub lives at hub.hiltongrandvacations.com. Its own welcome text calls it a place for "exclusive discounts on cruises, car rentals, guided vacations, luxury homes and unique activities," where you can "browse multiple travel services, and review your reservations."
① The five tabs: Cruises, Car Rentals, Flights, Guided Vacations and Things To Do.
Who gets it: HGV Hub is an HGV member benefit, and Bluegreen owners reach it through HGV Max. Bluegreen's HGV Max FAQ says Traveler Plus benefits were consolidated into HGV Max, so this is where the old "points for cruises" question now lands for most Max members. If you don't see HGV Hub in your account, ask Club Services (866-767-2268) whether your membership includes it.
The Hub's home page header labels points as "HGV ClubPoints." Before you call, confirm how your Bluegreen points show up on the Hub.
Enhanced vs. Instant Redemption: the 20% rule and the math
Every Hub search shows two redemption types:
| | Enhanced Redemption | Instant Redemption | |---|---|---| | Value per point | $0.14 (fixed) | $0.06 (advertised) | | Maximum | Up to 20% of the purchase | Up to 20% of the cruise fare | | Where we saw it | Car rentals, cruise sailings with an "Enhanced" badge | Individual cruise staterooms |
The car-rental banner spells it out: "Best price guarantee! Apply points for up to 20% of the purchase at a fixed points value of 14 cents per point."
The worked math. Take the $2,539 Club Balcony Suite on the cruise below.
- 20% cap: $2,539 × 20% = $507.80 maximum off.
- At Enhanced (14¢), $507.80 takes about 3,627 points ($507.80 ÷ $0.14).
- At the advertised Instant rate (6¢), the same $507.80 would take about 8,463 points.
What the Hub actually showed. That suite was tagged Instant Redemption, and the Hub priced it at 7,928 points + $2,095. That's $444 off, about 17.5% of the fare, at about 5.6¢ per point. Every suite on the page followed the same pattern: about 5.6¢ a point, and slightly less than 20% off. One explanation that fits all seven suites is that the 20% applies to the fare before about $319 of taxes and fees, but the Hub doesn't say so. Treat the Hub's own number as the real price, and ask Member Services how the cap is calculated before you commit points.
The takeaway: the same points are worth about two and a half times more under Enhanced than under Instant. If a sailing or rental offers Enhanced, that's the one to use.
Step by step: pricing a cruise with points
Here is the path for a real sailing: a 7-night Alaska cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Jade, departing May 24, 2027.
Step 1: Search
- ① Pick your destination (we chose Alaska). You can also filter by month, duration, port, cruise line and ship.
- ② Click Update. Our search returned 1,437 cruises.
- ③ Read the two banners: Enhanced (14¢) and Instant (6¢), both "up to 20% of your cruise fare." Each result shows a badge for its redemption type.
- ④ Click Explore on a sailing. The NCL Jade sailing showed an Enhanced Redemption badge and cash prices from $699 (inside) to $2,459 (suite).
Step 2: Check the cash price
① The detail page lists the cash price per person, double occupancy, including taxes and fees: Suite from $2,459, Balcony $2,269, Outside $1,049, Inside $699. ② Click Apply Your Points to Save Even More!
Write the cash price down now. It's your baseline for judging whether points are worth using.
Step 3: Compare categories with points + cash
① The progress bar has three steps: Itinerary, Categories, and Call to Book. There is no online checkout for points. ② Each category shows a points + cash price. For this sailing, the Hub showed:
| Category | Cash "from" | Points + cash shown | |---|---|---| | Suite | $2,459 | 7,821 points + $2,071 | | Balcony | $2,269 | 2,857 points + $1,919 | | Oceanview | $1,049 | 2,785 points + $943 | | Inside | $699 | 1,535 points + $663 |
③ The Enhanced and Instant banners repeat here. The category bar's points numbers don't line up cleanly with the "from" prices (they imply anywhere from about 2¢ to 12¢ a point), probably because each category's points price is for a specific stateroom. Use the stateroom list in the next step for real math.
Step 4: Pick a stateroom
Each stateroom shows two prices side by side: ① the Cruise Line Price ($2,539 for the MA Club Balcony Suite) and ② Your Price With Points And Cash (7,928 points + $2,095). ③ The badge tells you which redemption applies, here Instant.
To get your price per point: subtract the cash part from the cruise line price, then divide by the points. ($2,539 − $2,095) ÷ 7,928 = 5.6¢.
Step 5: Call to book
The Book button leads to Step 3, Call to Book. Call Member Services at 833-986-6402 with the cruise number, sailing date and stateroom category in hand. Ask:
- Which redemption applies to this stateroom, Enhanced or Instant?
- Exactly how many points and how much cash?
- What are the deposit, final payment and cancellation rules, and what happens to the points if you cancel?
Car rentals
Car rentals are the clearest example on the Hub, because every number reconciles.
① For a Thrifty Economy or Compact car, the Hub showed a best available rate of $340, with 485 points applied for $68 off and a $272 cash remainder. ② Every car is labeled $0.14 per point. A $348 midsize took 497 points for $70 off, and a $365 midsize took 520 points for $73 off.
The math checks out: 20% of $340 is $68, and $68 ÷ $0.14 ≈ 485 points. The Hub fills the full 20% automatically and rounds to whole points. You can't apply more than 20%, so on a car rental the points are a discount, not a way to pay.
One quirk: the card still says "Total $340" under the cash remainder. That's the price before points.
Booking with points means calling 833-986-6402
This is the part most owners miss. The Hub prices everything online, but the banner at the top of results says it plainly:
① "To book with points, call Member Services at 833-986-6402." ② Below it, the Enhanced Redemption banner gives the 20% / 14¢ rule.
Plan for a phone call, have your member number ready, and get the final points, cash and cancellation terms in writing (an email confirmation) before you hang up.
When HGV Hub is a good deal, and when it isn't
The question is always the same: what's a point worth here compared to everything else you could do with it? Here are the numbers from my other guides:
| Use of a Bluegreen point | Rough value per point | Source | |---|---|---| | What a point costs you to carry | ~12–17¢ a year (owner-reported FY2026, Trust Fund E) | What Is a Bluegreen Point Worth? | | HGV Hub, Enhanced | 14¢, up to 20% of the price | This guide | | HGV Hub, Instant | ~5.6–6¢, up to 20% of the fare | This guide | | Convert to Hilton Honors (hotel stays) | ~4.5¢, minus the conversion fee | Bluegreen to Hilton Honors | | Convert to Honors, then apply to fees | ~2.2¢ | Bluegreen to Hilton Honors | | Pay fees directly with Bluegreen points (eligible Premier tiers) | 1–5¢, by tier | Paying fees with points |
Good deal:
- Enhanced Redemption, especially on car rentals. At 14¢, you're getting back close to what a point costs you to carry, with no conversion fee.
- Points you can't book at a resort. A cruise or rental at 14¢ beats letting points expire, saving them for a fee, or converting at 4.5¢.
- Small top-offs. A few hundred points to knock 20% off a rental is a clean use of a leftover balance.
Poor deal:
- Instant Redemption when you could book a villa instead. Our Manhattan Club search showed a 3-night May 2027 stay in High Red season for 13,000–18,000 points. Spending those points on a Hub cruise at 5.6¢ would get you about $730–1,010 off. Compare that with what the same three nights in New York would cost in cash before you choose.
- When the cash part is the real cost. Points never cover more than 20%. If you couldn't afford the trip in cash, points won't make it affordable.
- When the cash price is higher than booking direct. The Hub's "Cruise Line Price" is its own price. Check the same sailing and stateroom with the cruise line or a travel agent first.
If you're still deciding where your points go this year, my free Ownership Audit runs your cost per point, and the AI Owner Assistant can compare a Hub redemption against a villa stay.
Using Hilton Honors points toward maintenance fees
The Hub isn't the only place your points touch Hilton. On bluegreenowner.com, the My Maintenance Fees and Club Dues page has two separate offers:
① Redeem Hilton Honors Points Toward Maintenance Fees and ② pay your Maintenance Fees with Bluegreen Rewards (earned by referring qualified guests, a different currency).
The Honors offer opens a redemption form:
The form asks for your name, member number, Hilton Honors number and Amex card, then:
- ① Points to Redeem. "500 Hilton Honors Points Equal $1."
- ② You must be the Basic Card Member (the primary account holder) of an eligible Hilton Honors American Express card: the Hilton Honors Amex, Surpass, Aspire or Business card.
- ③ You must be a U.S.-based member with a U.S.-based ownership billed in U.S. dollars, and your account must be current and in good standing.
- ④ Redemptions are made in increments of 500 Honors points, toward your annual maintenance fee amount.
At 500 Honors = $1, that's 0.2¢ per Honors point. 100,000 Honors points takes $200 off your bill. It's a fallback, not a strategy. See Can You Pay Bluegreen Maintenance Fees With Points? for the full comparison.
Points reservations and Bonus Time on the same site
While you're logged in, the regular points reservation search is a useful comparison:
① A fall promotion: book online by December 31, 2026 for $30 off nightly Bonus Time rates at a long list of Bluegreen resorts. Another notice says some HGV Expanded Portfolio resorts require a 3-night minimum (including SeaWorld Orlando, Elara, Ocean Enclave, Liberty Place Charleston and Chicago Magnificent Mile). ② Choose Points Reservation or Bonus Time Reservation. ③ The Manhattan Club, 3 nights in May 2027 (High Red season), runs 13,000 to 18,000 points depending on the unit.
Converting points to Hilton Honors: the official FAQ
Bluegreen's Points Conversion FAQ answers the questions I get most:
- ① How often: HGV Max members can convert every other year, with "at least one full year between conversions."
- ② Ratio: 1 Vacation Club point = 11.2 Hilton Honors points. "Conversion ratios are subject to change."
- ③ How: call Club Services at 866-767-2268. "Online or self-service conversion is not available at this time."
- ④ Timing: Honors points are deposited "during the first 1–2 weeks of the month following the end of your Anniversary Year."
- ⑤ Fee: a transaction fee applies to every tier except Diamond Premier.
- ⑥ Family accounts: you can't convert into a family member's Honors account. Your Bluegreen account must match your Honors account. After the points land, Hilton's own rules let you transfer Honors points between eligible accounts.
The full math, including the $194 fee and what 224,000 Honors points are worth, is in How to Convert Bluegreen Points to Hilton Honors.
